Burma Star Association - B.C. Chapter
Jim enlisted at Nottingham in Feb. 1943. He completed basic training at Bridgnorth and his advanced training at County Down, Northern Ireland.
He served with 99 Squadron (RAF) and qualified for the Atlantic, Pacific, and Africa Star as well as the Burma Star.
Perhaps the most memorable highlight of his service career, was his participation in the longest distance bombing raid from Bengal to the Gulf of Tonkin.
Jim was discharged from the RAF in Sept. 1946
